If you’re going camping for the first time and don’t really know what to expect… We’ve decided to put together a list of 5 tips that will hopefully help you when preparing for your new adventure.
So here are the 5 tips for anyone who is going camping for the very first time.
Even if you’re camping during summer, if you’re in the woods, it’s usually pretty cold at night. So, make sure to take warm clothes with you. This includes socks, sweaters, plants and even a blanket in case you’re not taking a sleeping bag with you.
Never forget to take a flashlight with you. And don’t forget to take several batteries as well. One of the biggest mistakes we’ve all done is not packing charged batteries and then run-out of light for several days. Not a good idea.
3. Close the zipper!
Never. Never. Never leave the zipper of your tent opened. Imagine leaving the zipper opened, and then when you get into your tent you see a frog in it. We didn’t make that up, it really happened with Joe, our publishing director. But that’s not the only reason why you need to close your tent properly… There are other animals, more dangerous than a frog, which could potentially harm you and put your health in jeopardy. There’s no need to risk it. Make sure it’s closed properly!
You have to make a list beforehand. Don’t just go and pack random stuff. If it’s your first time, it’s likely that you’ll miss a few things.
5. Enjoy responsibly!
This is our last tip: enjoy! Respect the environment, take pictures and have fun with your friends and family.
Here they are. Make sure to have a lot of fun and let us know how your first camping experience was. We’re looking forward to hearing back from you.
